MONTOURSVILLE, PA— CRS Advanced Technology, parent company of well-known automated absence management software, SubFinder, announces their newest software interface that allows data from SubFinder to be exported to the Uniform Staff Payroll System (USPS), the state-adopted payroll system in Ohio. This new interface was created through the joined efforts of the Metropolitan Educational Council (MEC) of Ohio, USPS, and Lancaster City Schools, a member district of MEC. The interface will allow all school districts in the state of Ohio using SubFinder to seamlessly interface their SubFinder system with USPS, reducing the time spent manually entering data and handling paperwork.
Steve Wigton, Director of Human Resources for Lancaster City Schools, was actively involved in the development of this new interface. “We have used SubFinder for years (since 2001), never had any problems, and have always received good service. The CRS team worked closely with our human resources and payroll departments to ensure that all needs would be met, and the interface was completed by a mutually agreed upon timeframe. Our staff is definitely encouraged by the new interface and is looking forward to greatly reducing their paperwork and the redundancy of manual data entry.”
Lancaster City Schools is anticipating a streamlining of their current processes and office procedures, increasing effectiveness and creating more efficiency between their HR and payroll departments. In fact, the new process will be a one step procedure, allowing for up-to-date reporting and budget tracking. The new process will also allow Lancaster City Schools to take advantage of additional SubFinder features, further increasing their efficiency.
“We are pleased to have worked closely with Lancaster City Schools to develop the USPS interface to better meet their needs as a customer, and the needs of all our Ohio customers and prospective customers,” remarked Pete Lupacchino, Vice President and General Manager of CRS. “It has always been our philosophy to develop our products based on feedback from our customers.”
