MONTOURSVILLE, PA—The 2010 Regional User Group Conferences recently wrapped up with the final conference held in the San Francisco, CA area. CRS Advanced Technology once again chose to hold multiple regional conferences in lieu of one national conference at the request of customers.
With limited budgets and increased travel restrictions, the regional conferences provided customers with a more economical option to participate in valuable training and networking opportunities. Over the course of several weeks, a total of seven user group conferences were held at locations near the following cities: Atlanta, GA; Ocean City, MD; Dallas, TX; Seattle, WA; Chicago, IL; Los Angeles, CA; and San Francisco, CA.
Attendance at the conferences increased from the previous year, with a combined total of 226 customers participating. This is the fourteenth consecutive year that CRS has offered user group conferences to customers.
The conferences provided CRS Advanced Technology’s SubFinder users with software training, the opportunity to learn various tips and tricks from SubFinder experts, and a chance to network with other system operators to learn how they utilize the software within their districts.
Attendees had a two-day conference agenda covering topics ranging from sneak peeks at upcoming product enhancements to advanced training on software features and functionality, to learning how SubFinder can integrate with various human resource and payroll software applications.
"Attending the User Group Conference makes me a stronger asset to my district as I gain expertise and confidence in managing the SubFinder system," notes Tina Waddell, SubFinder Operator at Edmonds School District #15 in Lynnwood, Washington. "The networking is invaluable. You may share one trick that has helped you, and everyone else shares an idea that helped them. You return to work with lots of notes and chock full of ideas that make you successful. I come away excited about my job!"
Customers also have the opportunity to suggest enhancements and make recommendations for additional features and functionality. Feedback gathered at the conferences will be reviewed and considered for future product development.
