CRS was originally established in 1985 as Canopy Road Software, Inc. and initially provided telephone reservation software used by school systems to manage media supplies. In 1987, Canopy Road Software released Substitute Finder^®, which quickly became the company’s flagship product. After being acquired by the Brodart Co., a premier library services company, the opportunity to invest in research and development offered insight and a foray into new technological territories earlier than expected, helping to cement CRS as an innovative, forward-thinking technological company.

Now, standing once again on our own, CRS Advanced Technology continues its tradition of innovation and a customer-centric foundation to create the solutions our customers need, want and look to us to provide.
